Meaning of Christmas...

We survived our last Christmas program. A guy from our church had a real passion to lead it this year and did a wonderful job. The title was, "It happened in the country". It was about two city kids who were on their way to their father's work Christmas party and were stranded in the country because of car troubles. They met a family and ended up hearing about the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. It was really cute, and took a ton of work getting the songs down. The girls had a great time and I think were inspired to try speaking parts next year:-)

I often wonder, do we portray to our children the true meaning of Christmas?? There is so much that is emphasized on the radio, t.v., from friends and even by us, do we really show them what is REALLY important? Madelynn's folder is always jammed full of papers and I usually just quickly go through them and throw away most of them, I know, not very sentimental. Well, as I was going through them this morning trying to clear out her folder I came across this...
She wrote, "Getting presents is always fun but to me the best part about Christmas is baby Jesus." Thank-you Lord, Please let us continually show that to her and to all our children!!!
